Located in the small Northumberland town of Haltwhistle, The Old Drapery is a comfy second floor apartment. The property sleeps 2 people in comfort and has one king-size double bedroom on a mezzanine served by a shower room. The cottage also includes a fitted kitchen and a comfortable sitting room with a dining area. There is dedicated off road parking for 2 cars. All of the shops, restaurants and pubs of Haltwhistle are on the cottage’s doorstep, and its’ ideally suited as a base for exploring Cumbria and Northumberland. A short drive will take you to Hadrian's Wall, the east coast, the Lake District National Park or the castle and gardens of Alnwick. The cottage is an ideal year-round romantic retreat.

Full gas fired central heating, supplemental heating from an electric fire in sitting area. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washer/dryer, 43" TV with Freeview, DVD, stereo/CD. Fuel and power included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. There is private parking space for 2 cars. Two well behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops and pubs 1 minutes' walk. Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Haltwhistle boasts a good range of shops and pubsand there is an excellent leisure centre with heated open air swimming pool and cycle hire in the town. One of the best preserved stretches of Hadrian's Wall is only a mile to the north with various museums, forts and milecastles to be seen.
