The Mill Cottages - St. Blazey, Cornwall, England

The Mill Cottages is a family run business; our daughter Laura who is 21 now, helps with the day to day running of cottages, is responsible for the ponies and helps with all aspects of the business when she is back from university. Steven our son who is 16 and is in charge of the wood store for winter and is hands on with the renovation of the Mill amongst other duties, when he is not on the golf course!

We hope we have created an atmosphere of freedom, so our guests feel that they are not just on holiday in the cottages, but welcome to enjoy our animals and space.

A few health scares for Michelle and stern advice from the doctors recently has led us to review a few things. After running 6 holiday lets here under the name of Woodmill Farm, we have decided to let only two cottages for your enjoyment with the Mill building being renovated by our own fair hands over a period of time, for us to move into as soon as we are able. Hence the new name The Mill Cottages. This down sizing will ensure that the high standards that we have attained in the cottages are continued.

This change will allow us as a family to enjoy The Mill with our guests for years to come, and our animals will not have to move home!

Our lifestyle has changed dramatically since we took over Woodmill in January 2007, and we are embarking on another adventure with the conversion of the Mill, a very long hard but extremely exciting project. Our vision for The Mill Cottages is to be enjoyed for years to come as a perfect place to relax anytime of year. We are trying to be as sustainable as possible with the new renovation project with PVs and ground source heating.
