Honeywell Barn & Cottage - Ashford,

Honeywell barn is a stunning 13th century Kentish holiday barn and cottage for up to 30 people in an Area of Outstanding National Beauty.  The location is beautiful, close to a conservation village at the foot of the North Downs with a village pub and cricket green. Ancient beech woods with deer and fabulous walks are also nearby.

Designed by McCurdy & Co and rebuilt using many of the original beams, all rooms are of generous proportions. Under-floor heating has been used throughout, with striking flagstone flooring on the ground floor, neutral carpets and natural limestone bathrooms.

The overall atmosphere is one of extreme light, warmth and family-friendliness.Creative touches include a wall of ceiling-to-floor glass doors, which fold back completely giving access to the terrace and garden, which face south.

Guests can sit and sunbathe out here in hot weather, or enjoy evening drinks with unspoilt views across the garden to the fields beyond.

A gravel drive at the front leads into a secure courtyard-style parking area which is gated, and the whole boundary is fenced for the safety of children and dogs. The gardens are landscaped and a York stone terrace to the rear can be floodlit at night.
A 17th century one-bedroom cottage across the courtyard also has under-floor heating, an integrated oak kitchen, a bathroom with a shower, and French doors leading to its own secluded terrace.

A traditional 4-bay oak cart shed and the gravel drive provide secure parking for up to 10 cars.
