Book a country cottage in Norfolk and have a really refreshing and inspired holiday. The self-catering cottages can be booked for week long holidays or short breaks outside peak season. Cottages may be located in the green and pretty rural areas surrounded by farmland and woods or in towns, in the city of Norwich or on the coast. Lots of people favour Norfolk's coastal towns; the beaches are generally sandy and some such as Hunstanton are broad and deep - perfect for family seaside holidays. Seaside towns such as Southwold have a certain charm and gentility that is lacking in other parts of England; there are high class eateries, art galleries and tea shops aplenty.
A number of nature reserves such as Minsmere offer good birdwatching options or gentle strolls with wild flowers to admire.

Norfolk is a good choice of location for outdoor activities, the flat terrain is ideal for cycling and walking. There are also mountain biking trails through Thetford Forest.
