Todmorden has an interesting history and architecture, bound up with the Industrial Revolution. This park also hosts the annual Todmorden Agricultural Show, a traditional day out featuring farm animals and vintage farm equipment, rural skills, live music and stalls.
A famous local landmark overlooks Todmorden in the shape of Stoodley Pike Monument. Constructed to celebrate the end of the Napoleonic Wars (the current monument replaced the original one), its height is 100 feet. It’s a popular local walk up to the monument and recommended for the views across the moors.
