Somerset has so much to commend it as a holiday destination that it is difficult to know where to begin. A gentle ramble on a sunny day reveals hedgerows overflowing with wild flowers and tidy farms dotted here and there. The sea is another draw, especially for families - children of all ages like to paddle, dig and eat ice cream. There are masses of places to visit and Taunton Museum is high on the list for children.
