Collection of two beautiful award winning holiday cottages sleeping 2, 4 and 6 people near Whitchurch in Shropshire close to the Cheshire/Shropshire border. The idyllic farm holiday cottages sit in a very tranquil location overlooking a lovely wildlife pond which is home to ducks, moorhens and other wildlife whilst our charming pet-friendly cottage is located in the quiet village.
There is also an indoor spa hot tub that can be hired by arrangement.
Oakpond Cottage (one well behaved pet welcome) can sleep 2-6 people in 3 bedrooms and has a lovely warming woodburner.
Oaktree Cottage (sorry no pets) is spacious and sleeps 2 people in 1 bedroom and has a romantic balcony with views over the wildlife pond.
Book both farm cottages together for larger families or for grandparents who need their privacy but are still close to their family.
The two farm cottages have been awarded a Gold Award for quality accommodation and customer care for the fifth year, assessed by Shropshire Tourism.
The farm cottages are nestled in the heart of 103 acres of farmland thus offer peace and tranquillity yet are only a 10 minute drive to the two market towns Whitchurch and Market Drayton. An ancient peat Nature Reserve is only a 5 minute drive with beautiful walks and wildlife in the woods. These country cottages are central for Staffordshire/Cheshire/Shropshire and the Welsh counties as well as Shrewsbury and Chester.
For keen walkers, the Beeston and Peckforton Hills are nearby. Other good places for walking can be found at Hawkestone Follies and there are a number of circular walks along the Shropshire Union Canal. Haughmond Forest is heaven for the dogs to explore as is Brown Moss Nature Reserve. There is a championship golf course at Hawkestone Park and a further 3 golf courses nearby. Good fishing is available at Dearnford Lake and there are 3 more pools close by on farms. Route 45 passes through our village which has 4 scenic cycle route for the cyclist. We do have a secure lock-up storage.
There is the option to hire our 8 seater hydrotherapy spa/hot tub which is very relaxing after a good days walking or cycling. The hot tub is indoors and overlooks the countryside and is very private. (a small charge applies for using this facility. Please ask for extra details regarding booking) Bromine is used which is better for skin and does not have a strong chemical smell unlike chlorine.
We do have a reduced occupancy rate for 2-4 people using 2 bedrooms only for our larger cottage.
Dog owners please note: We offer a dog sitting service for £5 per day. Your dog can be looked after and walked whilst you go out sightseeing. We have pens on the farm to keep your dog safe.

Whitchurch is the countrys most oldest bustling market town in the country and home to the Joyce clocks.
