    We specialise in midweek and weekend breaks for couples, friends and young families all year round.  We know our guests want to make the most of their break and to relax as soon as possible so we receive and unpack internet grocery deliveries between 10:00 am and noon on the day of arrival, so guests can save time having to do the shopping, fetching and carrying. We provide bed-linen, towels, cot or high-chair and other practical essentials.

     

    For something a little special, a visiting beautician will provide in-house treatments ranging from mini facials to pedicures.

    One mile from historic Whitchurch, the cottage provides an excellent base for relaxation, shopping, cycling, walking and fishing for 4 (plus one baby in cot). There are many good restaurants and dining pubs nearby. Guests are greeted personally on arrival. All beds are made including linen and duvets. A cot and high chair are also available if required. Fresh towels are provided, including bathing sheets, along with a complimentary welcome pack including a starter supply of toiletries, kitchen towel, dishwasher powder, washing powder, washing-up liquid and toilet rolls.  Electricity, under-floor central heating and hot water is included. There is secure parking for up to 2 cars. If you want a private, cosy cottage for a very special break this is the one for you.

    The Swimming Pool is exclusively available to guests staying at Bon Accueil Coach House.  It is normally open from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm every day of the year but if these hours don't suit we can happily alter them.

    Terms
    This contract is for a short term holiday rental and is made between G M Dunne, Broadlands Trading, referred to as 'the owners'. References to 'you' and 'your' mean the person making the holiday booking (the 'party leader') and all other members of the holiday party who have been accepted by the owners. The 'property' refers to The Main House and/or The Coach House, Bon Accueil, The Broadlands, Alkington, Whitchurch, Shropshire, SY13 3NE, its swimming pool, outbuildings, gardens and land. 1 Your Booking The party leader must be at least 18 years old when the booking is made. The party leader must be authorised to make the booking, on the basis of these Booking Conditions, on behalf of all members of the holiday party. By making the booking, the party leader confirms that he/she is so authorised and that all other party members agree that the booking is subject to these Booking Conditions. The party leader is responsible for all payments. You agree that no liability can be accepted by the owners for any expenses, costs, losses, claims, or other sums of any description which relate to any business, howsoever suffered or incurred by you. When the owners issue the Booking Confirmation, this signifies that the owners have entered into a contract with you, subject to these Booking Conditions. 2 Reservations Reservations will only be accepted on receipt of a completed Booking Form and payment of 30% of the total cost of the booking if more than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday rental period. For bookings made within 8 weeks of the start of the holiday rental period, the full amount is payable on booking. Non-payment of the balance of the rent on or before the due date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by you and the owners shall not incur any liability to you in respect of any loss or damage following such cancellation. Where applicable, the date on which the final balance is required, �the due date� will be set out with the acknowledgement of reservation. Also, where applicable, Value Added Tax at the current rate is included in the holiday price. 3 Cancellation by Owners In the extremely unlikely event of the owners having to cancel a booking, the owners� liability will be limited to the immediate return in full of all monies paid. 4 Minors No bookings will be accepted from a party leader who is under 18 years of age or where the majority of the party is under 18. 5 Security and Housekeeping Deposit The owners may request a security and housekeeping deposit of �250 where all male/female parties are concerned. Where such a deposit is requested it will be payable on the due date and will normally be refunded by cheque made payable to the party leader within two weeks following the end date of your holiday, unless it is booked, in full or in part, towards the cost of breakages, cleaning, other repairs or damages. 6 Care of the Property You and all other members of your party undertake to take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, furnishings, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and to leave them in the same state of repair and condition and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning of the rental. You and all members of your party further agree not to use the property for any commercial purpose, including without limitation assigning or subletting it or otherwise allowing anyone to occupy it that has not previously been accepted by the owners. Bon Accueil is strictly a NO SMOKING property. You further agree to reimburse the owners reasonable costs for any breakages, cleaning, other repairs or damages caused by you or any members of your party, found on or after departure, whether or not these costs exceed any security and housekeeping deposit. The owners are entitled at their sole and absolute discretion to refuse to hand over to you, or to repossess, the property, which includes the fixtures, fittings, furnishings, keys and decorations) if the owners reasonably believe that any damage is likely to be caused, has been caused or is being caused by you or any members of your party. These circumstances will be treated as a cancellation by you. Under no circumstances can the booking period be exceeded nor can the total number of persons exceed the number stated on the Booking Confirmation, unless written permission is obtained from the owners. Neither can you significantly change the composition of your party during your occupation of the property, nor can you take any camp beds or pets into the property. If you do any of these things, or anything else which is a breach of these Booking Conditions, the owners can refuse to hand over the property to you or can repossess it. If the owners do so, this will be treated as a cancellation by you. The owners will have no obligation to find you alternative accommodation. You must allow the owners and any representative of the owners, access to the property at any reasonable time during your occupation of the property. 7 Cancellation by You Any cancellation made by you for whatever reason shall be in writing or email and addressed to the owners at the addresses given on the Booking Confirmation. Any payment already made at the time of cancellation is forfeited. However, the owners will seek to re-let the property for the booking period and, if successful, will normally refund the monies paid, less a charge for any additional expenses incurred. In view of this, the owners strongly recommend that you take out appropriate insurance cover against cancellation. 8 Period of Hire Unless otherwise agreed in writing with the owners, the holiday rental period starts at 4.00 pm on the day of arrival and terminates at 10.00 am on the day of departure. If you do not arrive by 12 noon on the day following commencement of booking and the owners have not received notification, the owners shall be entitled to re-let forthwith. If the property is not re-let the party leader remains liable for the full hire charge. 9 Pets No pets whatsoever are permitted. 10 Amenities Use of the property and all amenities where offered is entirely at your risk and no responsibility can be accepted for loss or damage to you, your belongings, cars or their contents. 11 Complaints Should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the property it must be notified promptly to the owners and in the case of serious problems, confirmed in writing. The owners will seek to address the complaint as soon as it is received. 12 Alterations to Bookings Only in special circumstances can the owners accept alterations to bookings once a Booking Confirmation has been issued. 13 Prices and Alterations Prices quoted include VAT. The owners reserve the right to alter prices without prior notice but this will not alter previously notified prices of reserved holidays once a payment has been accepted. 14 Incidental Expenses All incidental expenses must be paid in full either during your holiday or prior to departure. 15 Law This contract between you and the owners is subject to English Law and no other. It is agreed that any dispute you may have with the owners will be dealt with by the Courts of England and Wales, only.

    Recommended Places to Visit: Where to start! Again, there are so many that we have our own, extensive guide. Here are a few suggestions. Chester, Shrewsbury, Alton Towers, Snowdonia, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham. Lots of castles and gardens such as Attingham Park (NT) near Shrewsbury, Wroxeter Roman Town (Wroxeter Roman Vineyard also provides several tasting sessions and guided tours). Other NT properties - Powis Castle, Chirk and Erddig (in 2003 voted second in "Britain's Finest Stately Homes". Ironbridge World Heritage Site. Two 18 hole golf courses at Hill Valley Golf and Country Club in Whitchurch. Three championship courses, two at Hawkstone Park (10m) 01939 200611 and one at Telford Golf and Country Club (32m) 01952 429977. In Cheshire, Carden Park Golf Club (13 m) 01829 731600. The excellent facilities include the Nicklaus Course (home of the De Vere Seniors' Championship), the challenging Cheshire Course and the par 3 Azalea Course. The Pontcysllte Aqueduct is one of the main local tourist attractions, even crossed by Harrison Ford! It is amazing to walk across the Aqueduct as it towers 37 meters above the River Dee and to take in the panoramic views of the whole area. Or go via a canal boat. Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall - it's the highest waterfall in Wales and England. Found in a remote location in Powys and is definitely worth the effort.
