With Rutland Water just a 3 mile drive away, there are lots of good walks to enjoy nearby and the welcoming village pub is just a walk away too! Rutland Water Park is a great place to enjoy some cycling, fishing, bird watching in summer or watersports. Other local attractions include the lovely historic town of Stamford which is just 15 minutes drive away, as well as the beautiful market town of Oakham, where you can find a good choice of cafes, shops and eateries.

The historic pretty village of Cottesmore is just outside Oakham on the edge of the rolling Exton Estate. The village has a pub and shops and is on a bus route. It is just around the corner from the renowned Hambleton Bakery, very close indeed to Barnsdale Gardens voted the UKs No 1 gardens to visit, and three miles from Whitwell on Rutland Water where the water sports, bike hire and seasonal aqua park are located, as well as beautiful walking trails and bird watching.
