Unusual holiday home alert! Those of us who enjoy quirky, different and weird would appreciate this property. Situated in the hamlet of Barlby, 2 miles North East of Selby in Yorkshire, is a self-catering hideaway. Ideal for people who like to party, this holiday home features a large covered garden area which has a BBQ, a fire pit, a pizza oven, an inflatable hot tub, sun loungers, picnic table, benches and hanging seats spread over a large decked and fenced private area.

It is a 3 bedroom property and unusual in the fact that each of the bedrooms is a double, making this property suited to three couples holidaying together. There is the option of two convertible sofas in the sitting/ cinema room, however, as there is only one shower room for the entire property an occupancy of more than six would not be desirable.

The property is entered via patio doors that lead into a barn-like room with exposed beams and an elevated ceiling. There are sofas dotted about this room and it has a huge television. Doors at the far end of this room leading to a spacious kitchen with elegant white fitted cupboards containing the crockery, cutlery, glassware and utensils for self-catering. A large dining table with benches stands in the middle of the room and there is a glamorous sofa and leopard print easy chair. The shower room has an enclosed cubicle, a wash basin and WC. Still on the ground floor is one of the double bedrooms. Each of the bedrooms have their own television, are nicely decorated and could be described as cosy.

Browse the photographs of the property and all sorts of possibilities come to mind for a weekend break or a holiday. A group of adults could have a very nice sociable and entertaining time here.

It would be wise to bring provisions with you, or to order an online delivery because Barlby consists of small group of houses strung along the road. The City of York lies 10 miles to the north and is always a very nice place to visit for a day out; there are the historical aspects of York to discover, the lovely tea rooms, the quaint Shambles and visitor attractions. Other places to visit include Harrogate, Knaresborough, Leeds and a little further afield, the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Dales.
