Rural Roosts
is a collection of high quality pine lodges located in the tranquil village of Stainfield, just 8 miles north east of the historical city of Lincoln. Set in a beautiful setting in the middle of a 300 acre, grassland farm grazed by sheep, lambs, a couple of donkeys and pony, this is a fantastic rural location.  The farm features wild flower meadows, wetlands along with plenty of wildlife and is a paradise for bird watchers!

Built to a very high standard, the holiday lodges at Rural Roosts offer high quality accommodation where you can enjoy a wonderfully comfortable break in unspoilt rural surroundings.  With an idyllic rural setting, there is plenty of wildlife, fishing and farm walks available for your enjoyment close by. These tranquil, relaxing retreats feature twin, double, king-size bedrooms to ensure a good night’s sleep after enjoying days out exploring all the wonderful attractions and countryside that Lincolnshire has to offer.  

On arrival, guests will find a free welcome hamper containing fresh fruit, bread, butter, milk and home-made lemon drizzle cake to get your break off to the best of starts.  

Each lodge is equipped with free WiFi internet access, digital Freeview television, DVD player and radio.

Rural Roosts  - Lincoln,  Swan Lodge, sleeps 2 and features a luxury outdoor hot-tub, perfect for couples and romantic breaks away.  Other features at this lodge include an open living area with a fully fitted kitchen and dining area with views over the lake, a king-size bed and bathroom with bath with shower, sink and toilet.

Tawny, Little Owl, Badger and Woodpecker, each sleep 4.  Of these lodges, Little Owl Lodge & Badger Lodge have a hot tub. Within each lodge there is a spacious living area overlooking the lake with a fully fitted kitchen and dining area, a king-size master bedroom and a twin bedroom with a family bathroom (bath with shower, sink and toilet). Outside there is a large decked veranda where you can enjoy sitting and eating out.  

Teal and Lapwing Lodge
, each sleep 6.  Within each lodge is a spacious living room, with lake views, with a fully fitted kitchen and dining area, a double bedroom with en-suite shower room,  two twin bedrooms and a further family bathroom. Outside there is a large decked veranda where guests can relax.  Please note, these lodges do not have hot-tubs.

Kingfisher Lodge
is our largest lodge and sleeps 8. This holiday lodge has a large living area with views out over the lake and features a fully fitted kitchen and dining area. There is a king-size master bedroom with en-suite shower room, a second king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom with an additional bunk bed.  Outside there is a large decked veranda for outdoor relaxation and dining.  Please note, this lodge does not have a hot-tub.

Also on site is Barn Owl Cottage (sleeps 5), with its warm bubbly private hot tub.

There are many local cycle routes plus a series of off-road routes through the working woodland at Willingham Woods, near Market Rasen, and also Chambers Woods, near Apley. Also worth seeing: Rand Farm Park, Woodside Falconry and Wildlife Centre. Aviation Heritage abounds in Lincolnshire, no wonder that it is known as Bomber County. During your stay at Rural Roosts you can follow the North Kesteven Airfield Trail, created to enable visitors to locate the active RAF stations and former WWII airfield sites. Nearby you can find the RAF Digby Ops Room Museum, a fully restored WWII operations room. Lots of places and fairs for Antiques, Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Castle, the Coast with Skegness, Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea, whether you are looking for a funfair, donkey rides or a stroll through a wildlife reserve, 4x4 off roading.

Local Sports: Fishing - our 2 lakes are well stocked with coarse fish, carp, bream, rudd and tench. Also other good fishing lakes nearby. National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa only 20 minutes. Walking perhaps the 146 mile long Viking Way, cycling.
