Originally a watermill, this fantastic holiday cottage sleeps two and is the perfect getaway for a couple looking for complete peace and tranquillity. Sitting in the Estate of Belchamp Hall where the famous TV series Lovejoy was shot, this property lies by the idyllic countryside on the Suffolk
The 17th Century Mill is at the very end of a tiny rural lane in the river valley where is besides next to a stunning Mill Pond with views over water meadows that have been seemingly untouched for centuries; the location couldn't be any more romantic or peaceful.
There are two entrances to Lovejoys Mill; one of which is on the ground floor which leads directly into the very romantic sleeping area, and another up the outside staircase to the Farmhouse Kitchen dining area. A small outside landing at the top of the staircase allows you to gaze over the pretty water meadows and beyond.
This is a stunning conversion of a Water Mill which retains and makes the most of the artisan origins of the Mill yet also discretely enhances them with modern touches and furnishings, making this a luxurious and unique place to stay.
The lovely rural Belchamp Estate with its valleys, brooks, and footpahts meandering through the unspoilt countryside, is a great place to relax and get away from it all. The renowned 'Medieval Villages' of Long Melford, Clare & Lavenham are all neighbouring and only a short drive away. The market towns of Sudbury & Halstead are also within easy reach.
