A romantic country cottage in a tranquil situation, ideal for couples or small families alike. Located in a quiet conservation area of Sherborne, Quaker Cottage is a high quality, well-presented holiday home that was formerly a Quaker Meeting House. The property is suitable for up to 4 people and has 2 bedrooms: a king-size double bedroom, and a further single with additional pull-out bed, as well as a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. The attractive open-plan living area downstairs includes a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a wood burner. A small gravelled sitting out area is located to the front of the property and is provided with garden furniture. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
Parking can be found in the surrounding roads or at local pay and display car park 100 yards away.
The abbey and castles of Sherborne are on the doorstep, and the beautiful Dorset countryside lies all around, A short drive will take you to the famous house and gardens of Stourhead, historic Shaftesbury, Salisbury Cathedral, or to the city of Bath. Quaker Cottage is an ideal base for a restful break at any time of year.
The cottage has efficient gas central heating, underfloor heating (on ground floor and in bathroom), woodburning stove in sitting area.
There is a gas hob for cooking, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, washer/dryer, dishwasher. TV with Freeview, DVD, CD/radio, iPod dock, books/games/DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburning stove included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Travel cot and highchair on request.
On street parking on a first come first served basis in adjacent road. Alternatively, pay and display car park within 100 yards. Small gravelled sitting out area to the front with garden furniture.
One well behaved dog is most welcome.

Top Attractions: Set in the midst of stunning, unspoilt countryside, the picturesque buildings, ancient inns and quaint shops of the ancient town of Sherborne, line the banks of the River Yeo. This charming, rural settlement is probably best known for its beautiful abbey and two imposing castles - the newer of which dates back to 1594 and boasts incredible Tudor landscaped gardens. Sherborne is a great place for sightseeing, or simply having an afternoon stroll along the riverbank, though if you're looking for more activities, a short drive will take you the stunning Stourhead house and gardens. The wonderful Dorset heritage Coast is well worth a visit and just across the Somerset border is the fabulous Fleet Air Arm Museum, situated at Yeovilton.
