The accommodation within Thornleigh has been arranged with walkers, cyclists, groups and families in mind.
On the ground floor is the elegant lounge complete with comfy seating for 12, warming woodburner and TV/DVD for your entertainment. Also on this floor is the spacious kitchen/diner which is fully equipped with its fridge-freezer, double oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer plus large dining table for eating altogether. In the cellar is where you’ll find the sauna and games room ready for fun times, complete with table football and pool/table tennis table. There is also a ground floor twin bedroom (can be made up as a super-king size room if required) along with an en-suite shower room.
On the first floor is where you’ll find the large master bedroom which boasts views out to the town and out to Riber Castle. This room features a modern four poster king-size style bed, ideal for romantic couples, complete with en-suite shower room with walk in shower. Also on this floor is a double bedroom with garden views, wrought iron bed and en-suite shower room, plus a family bathroom and twin bedroom with garden views.
On the second floor is a further spacious bedroom which can be made up as a twin or as a super-king size room as per your requirements. This room has a luxurious en-suite shower-room and offers wonderful views over the town. Also on this floor is a comfy twin bedroom with a feature fireplace.
Outside is a lovely secure landscaped enclosed garden with luxury hot tub, cycle storage and garden seating. Parking is available for 3 cars in the off road drive.

Mad Hatters for a sweet treat or a cocktail.

Matlock is a small town in the Peak District and has interesting retro vintage shops to browse, hidden cafes for brunch and a mix of wine and cocktail bars, restaurants and pubs to relax in. Hall Leys Park is a 5-minute walk away from Thornleigh with its tree lined walks, boating lake, café and children’s water play park. Matlock Bath and the heights of Abraham are in walking distance to the house. There is also plenty to do in the Matlock area. The impressive Chatsworth House and gardens, or smaller Haddon Hall, famed for being a movie location for several films, are a short drive away. Bakewell is close by, a chance for everyone to compare the famous pudding or tart.
