The village of Ashbourne lies near the southern edge of the Peak District. From here it is easy to explore the Peak District via the A515 which leads to the popular Peak town of Buxton famous for spring water. Another much lived visitor attraction is Chatsworth House which is 40 minutes drive away through the lovely dales. Both Chatsworth and the Peak District are recommended during December and the run up to Christmas when the historic mansion and Peak Villages are decorated in their Christmas baubles and bling.
