Woodside House dates back to the 1840's and was built as the chief engineer’s residence when the Midland Railway was being established through Derbyshire's scenic Derwent Valley and is set in a beautiful area near to the historical town of Belper.

This is one of England’s top destinations with a wealth of attractions and activities on offer locally. Places to visit include the Crich Tramway Museum, the Midland Railway Centre, Matlock, Matlock Bath and the Heights of Abraham, the World Heritage Sites along the Derwent Valley, Chatsworth and Kedleston Stately Homes and Alton Towers Theme Park. This is also a wonderful area for those who love the great outdoors with excellent opportunities for walking and hill walking from the doorstep as well as more widely in Derbyshire and the Peak District.
