Fantastic 6 bedroom holiday home sleeping up to 14 people in Ambergate, Derbyshire, making Woodside House an ideal base for exploring the Peak District National Park and Derwent Valley.

Woodside House dates back to the 1840's and was built as the chief engineer’s residence when the Midland Railway was being established through Derbyshire's scenic Derwent Valley and is set in a beautiful area near to the historical town of Belper.

Sleeping up to 14, this fantastic holiday house is ideal for large groups or big family holidays and is also well suited to special celebrations or meetings. The property also benefits from good road links and access to public transport and is located just 10 minutes from Jct 28 M1, or 5 minutes from the main A38 and with a rail link to Derby close by.

Within easy reach for day trips is the amazing scenery of the Peak District National Park, with both the White and Dark Peaks within reach. This is one of England’s top destinations with a wealth of attractions and activities on offer locally. Places to visit include the Crich Tramway Museum, the Midland Railway Centre, Matlock, Matlock Bath and the Heights of Abraham, the World Heritage Sites along the Derwent Valley, Chatsworth and Kedleston Stately Homes and Alton Towers Theme Park. This is also a wonderful area for those who love the great outdoors with excellent opportunities for walking and hill walking from the doorstep as well as more widely in Derbyshire and the Peak District.
