Characterful Large Mill House situated by both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales
Originally a mill owner’s house, this large stone-built cottage dates back to 1794 and with features that include lovely countryside views, exposed wooden beams, a warming open fire, log burner, four poster beds in some bedrooms, two lounges and a setting by a stream and 7 acres of meadowlands it’s clear to see that this property has lots to offer. Also at this holiday house is the added bonus of a sauna to help you relax and unwind on holiday. Free WiFi internet access is also available.
Outside the property are various terraces and patio garden areas to enjoy where you can sit out and look out over the stream. There is outdoor furniture and a stone-built BBQ so you can really soak up the superb setting. There is even a beautiful waterfall close by!

Inside this large 7 bedroom property, the accommodation is spacious and welcoming.
The large lounge is ideal for big groups with a comfy seating area with sofas, a warming log-burner and a 40 inch Freeview TV with DVD. The second lounge is a combined living/dining area with relaxed seating area complete with warming open fire and ample dining space for 20 people (including a cosy nook area). The spacious kitchen is next to the dining area and is complete with microwave, dishwasher, American style fridge/freezer and electric oven and hob. There is also a smaller kitchen with hob/oven, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine making this a superb property for large group self-catering.
Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom with both bath and shower, a shower room and a 5 person sauna where you can relax and unwind.
On the first floor:
• 2 double bedrooms each with a romantic four poster bed (one with en-suite facilities)
• A twin bedroom and shower room.
On the second floor:
• 2 twin bedrooms
• A family bedroom with twin beds, plus 2 bunk beds.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park is home to its own unique landscape and places like Ravenstonedale and Kirkby Stephen within the Eden Valley are less than half an hour’s drive away. These areas are an absolute paradise for walking, hiking, photography and a variety of outdoor pursuits.
