The Furlongs is well located for discovering some of the best of the North Cornwall Heritage coast on holiday. Nearby beaches include Sandymouth, Duckpool and around 5 miles away are Widemouth Bay and Crackington Haven.

Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay, Bude and Sandymouth are all within a short drive. Tamar Lakes are close to hand with water sports, fishing, wind surfing and other facilities including some great walks and a bird sanctuary. Some guests bring their own boat and launch it at Tamar Lakes. Southwards is Tintagel, Boscastle, Trebarwith beach, Port Isaac fishing village(Doc. Martin filmed here) and Polzeath (a splendid beach with surfing). All these places are within 35 miles, as are the inland attractions such as Launceston with its imposing castle, Jamaica Inn and Bodmin Moor. The Eden project is within comfortable driving distance and a visit to Cornwall is not complete without a visit to Padstow. Padstow is always busy with good restaurants. a welcoming town and lots to see and do. Clovelley with its donkeys is just 5 miles up the road and is one of the most picturesque Devon village's and a fishing village to boot. You can sit on the harbour wall and watch the world go by with a pint in your hand from the Red Lion. Day trips to Lundy island are available from Bideford. Tamar Lakes are within a mile and provide something for all the family from water sports to conservation with excellent interesting walks. For the adventurous there is the whole of Cornwall to explore, including Land’s End, St Ives, Padstow and Mounts Bay - one could go on, with a virtually endless list. In fact there is so much to see, do and enjoy, you may well need to make several return visits. However, as far as 2019 is concerned the tariff list is enclosed together with a Reservation Form. Situated near the village of Kilkhampton with two pubs, post-office and village stores. Has the benefit of several take-aways fish and chips and chinese and Pizza plus good restaurants and hostelry at village pubs. Bude is the main resort about 5 miles away and sporting sandy beaches and activities for all the family of all ages.
