Rent self-catering accommodation in the West Norfolk riverside town of King’s Lynn. King’s Lynn has sprung up on the banks of the Great Ouse River, which empties into the North Sea at the Wash. It would be lovely to find somewhere to stay beside the river, where redeveloped houses and apartments overlook the water. There is along promenade and plenty of parking along South Quay.

Of you enjoy looking at historic buildings then a trip to King’s Lynn will prove most fascination. There are a number of period buildings that give parts of Kings Lynn an olde worlde atmosphere. The town hall and the Minster are handsome buildings, so do take time look around if you holiday there. Part of the town centre is pedestrianised – always welcome when sightseeing. There is the usual mix of shops, banks, eateries and chain stores.

If you do book a cottage or house in King’s Lynn for a self-catering holiday, you will find that there is everything that you need on the doorstep. The large supermarkets are in the outskirts of town.

To the south east of King’s Lynn is Bewsey Country Park and several lakes. There is a surprising amount of water in Norfolk, in the various lakes and numerous rivers. Twelve miles north of King’s Lynn is the Wash Nature Reserve, a place to go bird spotting and rambling. The beaches of the North Norfolk coast are just a little further towards Hunstanton.
