Find a holiday cottage to rent in Darley Dale, close to the Peak District. The village of Darley Dale sits across the A6 Dale Road North just before it edges along the eastern side of the Peak District National Park and crosses it near Rowsley. It is a nicely set out village where residential streets branch from the main road. Anyone renting a holiday cottage in the village would have the benefit of a few takeaway restaurants, pubs and small shops. The bigger town of Matlock with many more shops is just three miles south of Darley Dale.

The Derwent and Wye Valley Railway Trust Charity operate steam trains between Rowsley, Matlock and Darley Dale. They offer a variety of experiences including a Santa Train and a Derbyshire Bus and Beer Running Day. A ride on an old fashioned train and associated could appeal to some holidaymakers.

There are lovely views of the hills all around Darley Dale. The roads tend to be fairly broad which creates a relaxed atmosphere and a pleasantly peaceful place to stay. Any holiday cottages in Darley Dale or nearby Matlock are of a very good standard – places that you would be pleased to rent for a short break or a longer holiday.
