Chilwell is a small area between Beeston and Long Eaton south west of the city of Nottingham. The former small village of Chilwell has essentially been swallowed up as part of the urban sprawl. Assets to the village are Chilwell Manor Golf Course and the River Trent. A small piece of land juts out into the widening Trent, on which is located the village of Attenborough which is little more than the site of a lawn tennis club and church. A little further down the road is Attenborough Nature Reserve which virtually traverses the Trent and provides a watery paradise for birds. There is a car park for visitors and observation hides.

A stay here is very convenient for the city of Nottingham, perhaps to visit university students or relatives.

Do browse the cottages within 10 miles of Chilwell shown below and decide whether any are suitable as a short break or holiday accommodation for your purposes in Nottinghamshire.
