Pool Grange - Pool Quay, Powys, Wales

Pool Grange is a comfortable and spacious family home, ideal for family and friends to get together.  There is some disabled access with wheelchair access into the Conservatory and a ground floor double bedroom and shower room.  Ground floor accommodation comprises a large Drawing Room with sofas and an open fire with logs provided.  The adjoining Dining Room seats 12 comfortably and is perfect for dinner parties, and the Library houses comfortable sofas, flatscreen TV and DVD player, chess and games plus books galore.  The large modern kitchen is well equipped with both an aga and an electric oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.  There is plenty of crockery, cutlery, glassware, pans and utensils - enough to cater for 12 people easily.  An archway leads to the Breakfast area with windows on all sides overlooking the lovely gardens.  The Conservatory surrounds two sides of the house with views over the gardens and fields beyond.  Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with an adjacent shower room with cubicle and hand rail, WC and hand basin.  The first floor contains a large superking bedroom at the front of the house, another large bedroom next door with an en-suite shower room and bed which can be a superking double or twin.  Along the corridor is a large family bathroom with shower over bath, Adam and Eve hand basins and WC, and next door is another shower room with walk in cubicle, WC and hand basin.  There is also a twin bedroom and a further double bedroom with balcony.  The final bedroom is a quirky design with steps leading down to a king sized bed, door through to a dressing room leading into an en-suite bathroom.

Outside Pool Grange has beautiful landscaped gardens plus a tennis court.  The small hamlet of Pool Quay has a pub serving excellent food and is within walking distance.  The nearest town is Welshpool with a large selection of shops, pubs and restaurants which is only 3 miles away.  The larger historic towns of Shrewsbury and Chester are within easy reach and there are numerous places to visit nearby, such as Powis Castle.  The area is ideal for walkers with attractions such as Offa's Dyke, Lake Vyrnwy, Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons.  The Welsh coast can be reached in just over an hour.
