The Cidermill at Boatside is a charming stonebuilt cottage situated along the stunning river Wye - ideal if you are looking for complete peace and tranquility, but with the advantage of being only 3 miles to the nearest town. Walking, fishing, bird watching and much more on offer. Inside, the decour is tateful and similar to a log cabin, offering comfortable centrally heated accommodation, comprising a double bedroom (with two single beds), shower room, kitchen and large sitting/dining room with a superb view directly onto the river!

The Cidermill at Boatside  - Builth Wells,

A charming small courtyard garden is available for the exclusive use of visitors to the Cidermill and there is a wonderful walk along the riverbank. Guests will love the plant and wildlife surrounding the Mill. For the fishing enthusiast, seven hundred yards of private fishing is available, offering a variety of coarse and game fishing, with a good selection of pools, glides and rapids to test the angler's skills!

Boatside is ideally situated as a base for visiting a variety of attractions and venues. The Royal Welsh Showground is a few minutes away, as is the delightful market town of Builth Wells, with its modern facilities, including an excellent golf Course, Tennis Courts, Swimming Pool, Cinema, riverside park and a good selection of shops offering local produce and crafts. Boatside can offer approximately half a mile of fishing for a small extra charge. This includes both game and coarse fish, in a variety of river environments - slow pools, fast streamy sections, rapids, and deep channels. Among the coarse fish the most commonly caught are chub, which can be excess of five pounds. There are shoals of dace, some pike, and eels in the deep water. Trout, with an average weight of about eight ounces, offer good sport on the fly, as do grayling. For salmon fishing, enquire upon arrival.

Sheep and Ram Sales and Cobs Sales, August and September. Small Holders Show and Winter Fair in December. Bog snorkelling in June and Horse v man race in August.

Good places to eat: There is a pub at Aberedw, 1 mile away. Builth Wells offers a huge variety of pubs, restaurants, takeaways, hotels, Inian and Chinese food and many excellent pubs in the surrounding area.

BUILTH WELLS is a delightful traditional Welsh market town on the River Wye, it had many historical connections, especially with Prince Llewelyn who was murdered nearby. There is a castle mound still remaining which dominates the town. There are loads of attractions to appeal to visitors, it has an excellent range of shops offering wonderful local produce and crafts. There is a swimming pool, tennis courts and a large play area and riverside walk for the energetic. also a cinema and theatre.

BUILTH WELLS still has a livestock market every Friday. The Royal Welsh Showground, which is located on the outskirts of the town, has a wealth of activities taking place throughout the year, the hightlight being The Royal Welsh Agricultrual Show in July. A MUST for all visitors. Not to mention the famous sheep and  pony sales in the autumn. So many wonderful walks start from BUILTH WELLS there are also loads of open spaces for mountain biking and horse riding in the area.
