This Welsh cottage is a rural hideaway that’s perfect for a romantic break. Located on a working livestock farm in the mid-Wales countryside close to the village of Berriew, 5 miles from Welshpool, The Old Dairy is a welcoming and attractive cottage attached to the owner's Grade II listed farmhouse. The property sleeps up to 3 people with a family bedroom on the ground floor which offers a double bed, a single bed and a TV. There is also a shower room on the ground floor. The open-plan living area upstairs includes a fitted kitchen, and areas for dining and sitting.
Outside, guests have use of a shared lawned garden with fantastic rural views, of the rolling farmland and hills. There is designated off-road parking for 2 cars. The Old Dairy makes a lovely base for a couple or small family and is surrounded by scenic walks, with many attractions a short drive away including Powis Castle and gardens, Lake Vyrnwy, the Llanrhaeadr Waterfall and the Centre for Alternative Technology. The local village also has many amenities including restaurants, shops and an art gallery.

Full oil central heating. Kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD. TV in bedroom. All fuel and power included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Travel cot and stairgate on prior request. There is private parking space for 2 cars. Bike storage. Shared lawned garden with garden furniture and countryside views. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pubs 2.5 miles. Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

The village of Berriew in Powys lies on the banks of the river Rhiw, and offers an attractive picture, with timber-framed houses, whitewashed cottages, welcoming pubs, an art gallery and a choice of restaurants. Five miles away is the town of Welshpool, with yet more amenities. On offer around this town are attractions including golfing, the Llanfair Light Railway, NT Powis Castle and Gardens and the Llanrhaeadr waterfall. The Severn Way also passes through Berriew, ideal for walkers and cyclists.
