Ploughmans Cottage  - Tenby,

Ploughmans Cottage is a lovely house situated in the most sought after spot in Ivy Tower Village.  It enjoys direct access from the back door to the crazy golf course and childrens play area.  Watch the children playing from the comfort of the conservatory.  The accommodation upstairs offers a double, a twin and a bunk bed room sleeping up to six guests.  Downstairs there is a family bathroom with bath and shower over, an open plan living room, kitchen and conservatory with a dining table for six.  There are wonderful views over the beautiful Ritec Valley which leads down to Tenby beach.  The kitchen window overlooks the pretty village green.

The house offers stereo, freeview tv, dvd, video and the kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave and fridge with freezer box.  A washing machine is also available in the hall cupboard and coin operated dryers are available a few feet away in the drying room on site.

Outside are extensive communal gardens with bbqs and seating.  Sit and bbq while the children are playing on the crazy golf course or in the playground.

There is ample car parking a few feet away from the cottage in the car park.

St Florence offers two pubs, a general store and a garden centre selling excellent home cooked food.  All are within walking distance from the house.  In the immediate area are Manor Farm Wildlife Park, Heatherton activity centre and Great Wedlock Dinosaur Park.  A short drive away are several beaches including Barafundle Bay, voted one of 12 of the most beautiful beaches in the world and Manorbier Castle and beach.  Folly Farm, Oakwood and Bluewater are a short drive away.

Tenby

Tenby is an attractive family seaside resort with sheltered sandy beaches and rock coves to explore.  It is a walled town with a well preserved 13th century wall that still has many of its towers left as well as a 14th century arched Barbican gateway.  

Enjoy boat trips to the monastic Caldey Island from the harbour.  There you will find a 13th century church and ancient priory buildings and have the opportunity to buy a souvenir from the monks that still live there and sell honey, cream and other goods. 

Tenby itself has a museum, art gallery, interesting 13th century church and the Tudor Merchants House (National Trust), a wonderful gabled 15th century building with a Flemish chimney and the remains of frescoes on some of its walls.  Tenby has several good restaurants and a wide selection of shops. It's a great location for a self-catering holiday in Wales.
