Ivy Tower House - Tenby, Pembrokeshire, Wales

The house has six bedrooms including one downstairs ensuite double bedroom and a further one double, two twins and two bunk bed rooms upstairs.  In addition to the ensuite there are two further family bathrooms - one downstairs and one upstairs.  The house has an open plan living room with flicker flame fire, kitchen and conservatory with seating for up to 12. The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge, freezer and washing machine. There is a wide screen tv with freeview and a stereo with input for an ipod or MP3 player.  Outside are extensive communal grounds with bbqs, seating and plenty of space to walk a dog or play football.

The house is situated in St Florence, three miles outside Tenby. The village has pubs, shop and a garden centre offering lovely home cooked food. Locally are several beaches including Manobier and Barafundle Bay voted one of the 12 most beautiful beaches in the world. Folly Farm, Oakwood and Bluewater are within easy reach.  Just a short drive or even walk away are Heatherton activity centre, Manor Farm Wildlife Park and Great Wedlock Dinosaur Park.

Tenby is an attractive family seaside resort with sheltered sandy beaches and rock coves to explore.  It is a walled town with a well preserved 13th century wall that still has many of its towers left as well as a 14th century arched Barbican gateway.  

Enjoy boat trips to the monastic Caldey Island from the harbour.  There you will find a 13th century church and ancient priory buildings and have the opportunity to buy a souvenir from the monks that still live there and sell honey, cream and other goods. 

Tenby itself has a museum, art gallery, interesting 13th century church and the Tudor Merchants House (National Trust), a wonderful gabled 15th century building with a Flemish chimney and the remains of frescoes on some of its walls.  Tenby has several good restaurants and a wide selection of shops. It's a great location for a self-catering holiday in Wales.
