The Admiral’s House stands on a clifftop in the lovely Welsh seaside village of Saundersfoot. This small and popular Pembrokeshire fishing village and seaside resort boasts an award winning blue flag beach, traditional shops, pubs and restaurants all just a short stroll from the House. It has breathtaking views of Saundersfoot harbour, Carmarthen Bay, the Gower and beyond to make it one of the premier British coastal locations.

The House was built from local natural stone as a training base for the troops of George V in the late nineteenth century. Lovingly transformed into a modern five star self catering resort it has retained the original vaulted ceilings. This coupled with soft leather suites and contemporary décor, gives it a distinctly smart penthouse feel. It is fully equipped to the highest standards with seven bedrooms and five bath/shower rooms offering accommodation for up to fourteen guests.

Set in a private enclave and complemented with five mews properties, Admiral’s House has a spacious dining area with large table, fully equipped fitted kitchen and utility room including dishwasher and washer/dryer.

The indoor heated swimming pool with water jet system is superbly appointed with windows to front and side enjoying views across the bay and harbour. The first floor sea facing lounge is a gem with SKY digital tv, DVD, Playstation and large sash windows with spectacular views of the harbour, coastline and beach. French doors open onto the terrace offering breathtaking panoramic sea views, al fresco dining and the chance for private relaxation at its best.

On arrival guests are welcomed with a bowl of fresh local fruit and bottles of bubbly to get the holiday off to the best of starts. Admiral’s House………a premier self catering accommodation for family holidays, special occasions, golf breaks and quality time.

Saundersfoot beach is lovely and sandy nestled between Tenby in the west and Amroth in the east. Easily accessible with abundant car parking the beach is the proud bearer of a Blue Flag. This internationally recognised eco-label recognises the need for sustainable development and the highest standards of water quality. The beach and harbour have a fascinating history. In the 1860s sheltered from the western winds it was connected by tramways to an extensive network of coalmines. The high quality anthracite was used on the Royal Yacht. Queen Victoria was so impressed with its smokeless qualities that she insisted no other coal should be used when she was on board. In addition to its mining heritage the armed forces have always been an integral part of Saundersfoot life. Admiral’s House has been the focal point for this since the late nineteenth century. The Beach became the centre of attention for this during the summer of 1943 with Operation Jantzen. This involved over 100,000 Allied troops preparing for the invasion of Normandy the following year.
