Welcome to Hafod Grove a delightful, 4 star, Period Gentleman's Residence and Garden Cottage located amidst the stunning country/ coastal scenery of The Pembrokeshire National Park. Comfortably furnished sleeps 18+ cots. With over 2 acres of Private Grounds and sea views, Hafod Grove is the ideal place for family and friends to get together for holiday, celebrations and long weekends. The Aga and open fires make it perfect for winter breaks and long weekends. There are numerous local activities and sports such as golf, riding, walking, sailing, orienteering etc. with two local fabulous sandy beaches. With rare local wildlife such as the red kite and seals, dolphins, basking sharks and even whales and turtles, fairs, shows, petting farms, historical sites, castles, markets, craft trails, unique and antique shops and art galleries, theatres and lots of welcoming pubs and restaurants along the way. Hafod Grove makes the ideal getaway. Off peak long weekends start from only £825 for 18 people thats only only £18 per person per night.

Hafod Grove is located in the most part of the beautiful, Pembrokeshire National Park. Set in over two acres of delightful private grounds with sea views and gracious accommodation. The rare red kite can frequently been seen flying over the House.  Equidistant (about 4 mls) between two fabulous safe, sandy beaches, children love the numerous rockpools and caves to explore.

Within walking distance of the sea at charming, Ceibwr Bay a local beauty spot and the famous Coastal Path with its stunning cliff top views and fantastic rock formations. There are frequent sitings of dolphins, seals, porpoises, basking sharks, and even whales and turtle at times. This part of the coastline boasts the most wonderful scenery of the county.

Locally there are numerous sports and activities, with castles, historical sites, galleries, restaurants, bars and shops to explore.  Within 3 mls are two fabulous sandy beaches with rock pools, caves and vast expanses of sand with safe bathing and easy vehicular access which makes Hafod Grove the perfect destination for family and friends, holidays, reunions and celebrations.

The Spacious and Comfortable Self-catering Accommodation in Hafod Grove House (Sleeps 12 + cot) includes:

A large, well equipped, farmhouse kitchen, with seating for 12 / 18 people + an Aga, as well as a conventional cooker, dishwasher, microwave etc. The arched hallway leads to two delightful Reception rooms both comfortably furnished for over 12 people and both enjoy lovely double aspect, private, garden views and Open Fires. Reception 2 has French doors leading to a suntrap patio which is ideal for dining alfresco and barbeques.

  • Bedroom 1: Downstairs Double bedroom with antique suite and TV Opposite is a shower room making it ideal for the elderly or semi-disabled. There are two Staircases, but the main dog leg staircase leads up to the: First Floor and:
  • Bedroom 2: Master Bedroom with sea views. En suite bathroom with double-ended, antique bath, power shower, wash hand basin and lavatory, this room has dual access into the hall so can be shared.
  • Bedroom 3. King Size bed with sea views and vanity basin.
  • Bedroom 4. Has twin beds and decoupage suite and pretty garden views and vanity basin.
  • Bedroom 5. A further twin bedroom with art deco twin bedroom suite and pretty garden views.
  • Bedroom 6. At the top of the servants stairs, the only small room in the house is a pretty bunk bedroom ideal for children, over-looking woodland Large Family Bathroom with power shower, 6’ Victorian bath, wash hand basin and lavatory. Cots and highchairs available on request.

The house stands in almost 2 acres of delightful, private grounds with gorgeous countryside and sea views, there are children’s swings, and a suntrap patio barbeque area etc. Separate 80m access drive with parking for up to 4 cars.

Hafod Villa is comfortably furnished for up to 6 people + cot.

You enter through a long conservatory with alternative seating and dining area. There is a sunny sitting room with log burner, TV & DVD and leather 3 piece suite etc. The spacious, bright kitchen/ dining room is well equipped for up to 6 guests with all mod cons. There is twin downstairs bedroom A twin bedroom upstairs with pretty garden views A comfortable double bedroom with pretty garden views And a family bathroom. The cottage enjoys total privacy from Hafod Grove House when necessary but otherwise can be integrated quite easily. It has a separate 70m access drive with parking for up to 3 cars and a huge private garden and enjoys an exceptionally secluded location being set back from the quiet lane behind a small woodland

The House is equidistant (under 5 mls) from the bustling market town of Cardigan with its Castle, shops, theatre, gallery bars and restaurants, and the quaint Village of Newport with its Boat Club, and Golf Club both open to visitors (have lunch with a fabulous view across Newport Bay from the golf club), art galleries, pubs and cafes. In between there are many delightful country and coastal pubs and restaurants to enjoy. Walk, bike or drive into to picturesque Nevern just a couple of miles away and pop into the churchyard and see the Bleeding Yew and Celtic Cross and then have a good pub lunch in the Trewern Arms.

For the adventurous there are numerous sports and activities locally such as walking and cycling locally and along the beautiful Gwaun Valley (stop at Bessies famous pub for a jug of beer) or horse riding, mountain biking or walking over the Preseli’s, walk part of the coastal path from Ceibwr to Newport totally gorgeous or go for a beach ride on Newport Sands. For the more adventurous there are activity centres for diving, coasteering rock climbing, wind surfing, hang gliding etc.
