Cottage Holidays in Caeathro, Gwynedd, Wales
Country cottage holidays in Caethro. The Gwynedd village of Caethro sits in the north west corner of Wales close to the town of Caernarfon. This rural area is on the outskirts of the Snowdonia National Park, which rises up to the east toward Llanberis and Mount Snowdon itself.
The Park offers a wide range of outdoor activity from walking and mountain biking to climbing and water sports. The castle town of Caernarfon is a popular tourist spot that looks out across the Menai Straits towards the Isle of Anglesey, and hosts a terminus of the Welsh Highland Railway. The Welsh Highland Railway features steam locomotives pulling narrow gauge passenger trains on a 25-mile scenic route to Porthmadog via Beddgelert and the stunning Aberglaslyn Pass.
A short drive offers access to the coastal walks and long sandy beaches of the Lyn Peninsula and the Isle of Anglesey. We trust that you will enjoy your self-catering holiday in Caethro.
