A spacious Welsh country cottage with room to accommodate all your family of friends. Located in the countryside close to Ruthin in North Wales, The Old Farmhouse is a charming 18th century detached farmhouse. The property is divided into a 18th century wing and a Victorian wing and is suitable for up to 10 people. The 18th century wing has three bedrooms: one four-poster king-size double, one twin and one single day bed on a mezzanine landing, (an additional z-bed is also available) as well as a shower room. This wing also includes a fitted kitchen incorporating a dining area and a cosy sitting room with an open fire in an inglenook fireplace. The Victorian wing meanwhile has two bedrooms: a king-size double and a twin bedroom, as well as a ground floor bathroom. The rest of this wing of the cottage consists of a sitting room with a wood burning stove and a utility room. There is also a shared conservatory and a delightful shared orangery/summer room. There is plentiful outdoor space for relaxation and games, including a private front patio and rear lawns supplied with furniture and a BBQ, with an additional shared garden and access to 7.5 acres of the owners’ fields.  This could be just the place for your family holiday. One well-behaved dog is welcome to join you during your stay. Designated off road parking is available for up to 8 cars. The cultural town of Llangollen is close by and there’s beautiful countryside all around with Lake Brenig, Moel Famau Country Park and Clocaenog Forest all close by. Snowdonia National Park is also within easy reach. With its great location and excellent facilities The Old Farmhouse is a great place for a large family getaway or for a special occasion with friends.
