Lovely country setting for Brignall Mill Brignall Mill (England, Durham, Barnard Castle) Brignall Mill, near Barnard Castle, is an eighteenth century stone watermill on a small country estate. Offering a totally tranquil stay, with all home comforts, the Mill stands in an idyllic spot within the old North Riding of Yorkshire, bordering the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Good views are taken for granted. Bring your camera. The Mill is situated in a dramatic gorge carved out by the River Greta through Teesdale, a beautiful rolling landscape of sheep pastures divided by ancient stone walls and, on the tops, open moorlands. The waterwheel, machinery and grindstones have been incorporated into an ingenious eco-friendly living space which can sleep 4/6. Week commencing July 24th still available, also August 14th and 21st.
