The village of Brigstock is 4.5 miles south easy of Corby. in the county of Northamptonshire in England and is set in truly stunning surroundings with the former royal hunting grounds of the royal forest of Rockingham surrounding the settlement, as well as the Fermyn Woods Country Park being extremely nearby. With a café and areas for walking and fishing, taking a day trip to this tranquil woodland area that is home to meadows, marshes and ponds, is a great way to spend the day with family and friends when in Brigstock. The high street is lined with stone houses reminiscent of Cotswold style. A large field known as the cricket meadow offers outdoor space for various sports. Bridge street edges the cricket meadow and the bridge itself crosses Harper's Brook which transects the village. On the opposite side of the village is Fermyn Woods Country Park; another location for recreation and a coffee shop.

This ancient settlement was once visited by Queen Elizabeth I, and there are lots of historical structures around Brigstock which are worth visiting such as the Grade II listed Manor House in the village which was originally constructed to be a hunting lodge for those hunting in Rockingham Forest. There are also several other 17th and 18th century buildings in Brigstock and an incredible 49 listed properties.

Brigstock is home to a great range of self-catering cottages available to rent for a wonderful holiday for you and your loved ones. With fantastic kitchens, roomy living areas, comfortable bedrooms and all in a great location where you can explore the county park, forest and village at leisure, they are perfect for a relaxing break in a beautiful rural setting in Northamptonshire.
