Liskeard in south east Cornwall is a pleasant market town above the Looe Valley, between St Austell and Plymouth, which has retained its character and has quite a few historic buildings remaining including the Church of St Martin which dates back to the 15th century. Local granite features extensively in walls and buildings and Victorian buildings abound.
