Self-catering lighthouses
When it comes to self catering holidays the idea of staying somewhere truly memorable and just that bit different can be truly appealing. A stay at a self catering lighthouse can be appealing for a number of different reasons. First and foremost has to be the location. By their very nature, lighthouses are built by the coast and usually very near to the sea. If you love to be by the sea and have a taste for the unusual you should enjoy a stay in a self catering lighthouse. Just imagine feeling safe and secure inside your lighthouse holiday home whilst you listen to the waves crashing against the coast outside or the sound of gulls calling. The sights, sees and smells of the coast can be just magic and add to these, the chance to stay somewhere truly memorable and you potentially have something very special indeed.
Lighthouses also tend to be tall buildings and with such heights you get potentially at the top fantastic views. Just imagine climbing to the top of a lighthouse and looking out to sea for a really memorable experience. In some self catering lighthouses these rooms at the very top of the building have been converted so you can even sit down, relax and look out on amazing sea views.
