Oil central heating throughout with additional heating from an open fire in the sitting room. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, 2 x TVs (1 with Sky), 2 x DVDs, CD, library of books, games and DVDs, WiFi. Fuel, power and starter pack for open fire included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Cot on request, fold-away bed available. There is private parking space for 1 car. Rear lawned garden with decked area with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 2 minutes' walk. Please Note: This cottage is accessed by a set of exterior stone steps. Stirling in central Scotland is probably best known for Stirling castle which stands high above the city of Stirling.  The Old Town of Stirling is to be found in the area around the castle with its historic cobbled streets.  Also here is the Old Gaol and many charming historic Scottish buildings.  Also within the county of Stirling is the Carron Valley where you can enjoy walks and even mountain biking.  The city of Stirling is just 39 miles from Edinburgh, making it possible to visit Scotland's capital city from certain parts of Stirling.

The village of Strathyre lies at the head of Loch Lubnaig 7 miles from the town of Callander. Strathyre has a village shop and post office. Callander has a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants .
