The Lodge is a new holiday cottage in Easter Ross in North Scotland - literally a stone's throw from the beach. This cottage has been professionally designed and equipped with all modern conveniences to offer a comfortable holiday home for self-catering weekly lets and short breaks in low season. It sleeps four in one double bedroom and two single beds on mezzanine floor there is a double bed settee in eneral area, and lies just two minutes from beautiful Shandwick Bay and local harbour at Balintore offering easy access to fishing and local shops. Two Hotels for good eating and local general store open tilll 9pm.daily inc Sundays

The interior of the Lodge is open plan with the living-room and kitchen combined. It has a spiral staircase leading off the living-room to a twin room up above. The double bedroom leads off the living-room with a separate shower and toilet. . There is a brand new bed settee in theopen area with privacy curtain. A deligthful warm holiday home with easy and safe access to the beach. There is a small enclosed courtyard where yur dog can be left safely in the front of the accommodation.

Balintore on Shandwick bay is a small and picturesque Scottish fishing village on the eastern seaboard of Easter Ross in Northern Scotland. The long sweep of sandy bay backed by dunes offers a great area for sunbathing, watersports or for long healthy walks on the shore. Walk to the beach from The Lodge, explore the cliffs where sea birds nest and swirl. Book Now for Christmas and new year a wonderful place to welcome 2012!!

There is a wide choice of golf courses - at least 15 within half an hour's drive of Shandwick Bay. The local town of Tain is 7 miles and offers plenty of shops and supermarkets. Lots to do in the area; horse-Riding, swimming pool, local Museum. There is also an outdoor bowling club.

Travel: station 4 miles. Airport 40 miles

Good places to visit: Lots to do and see.

Annual Events: In the summer there are always various gala events and summer fetes.

Good places to eat: Find good restaurants and pubs in Balintore and Hilton within easy walking distance from the cottage, or 7 miles away in Portmahomack. There's nothing quite like a Scottish fish supper or one of the regional dishes. Visit Tain for an even greater choice of eateries.
