This holiday cottage has efficient gas central heating. Gas hob, Kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, 3 x TV/DVDs. All fuel and power included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. There is private parking space for 1 car. Lawned and decked garden area with furniture and barbecue. One well-behaved pet welcome in kitchen and conservatory only. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 5 minutes' walk, pub with restaurant next door. Morayshire in the North East of Scotland is a reasonably remote part of Scotland.  Moray is home to pretty fishing villages such as Cullen and also beautiful Speyside with its valleys and woodlands.  Fochabers in Speyside is particularly picturesque and there are a number of tourist attractions nearby including whisky distilleries.  In total there are 9 whisky distilleries in this part of Scotland and a total of 7 castles.

The fishing village of Findochty sits on the edge of the natural harbour known as Crooked Haven. Findochty is used more by leisure sailors than fisherman, whilst the fishing boats have moved down the coast to Buckie. Findochty has a small sheltered beach at Long Head and a pub on the harbour front. With the Moray Coast to explore, with its Whisky Trail, abundance of historic houses and gardens, sparkling golden sands and hospitable inns, this is a superb base from which to enjoy the delightful north east coast of Scotland.
