From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam. Inverness-shire in the North of Scotland is officially part of the Scottish Highlands. Some of the Highland's best attractions are to be found in Inverness-shire. Loch Ness, Scotland's largest loch is here which is well known due to the legends of the Loch Ness monster. In summer time boat trips run out in to the loch where you can get a first hand chance to look out for the monster. Also by the banks of Loch Lomond are the ruins of Urqhuart Castle. If you don't catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness monster you may want to make the trip to Chanonry Point to do a spot of dolphin watching where you may have more luck. With so much to see and do just when will you take a cottage holiday in Inverness-shire?
