Self catering country cottages in Inverness-shire, Scotland

Inverness-shire is a popular area for self catering cottage breaks.  Many head for this part of Scotland because of the fame of Inverness and the Loch Ness monster, also known as "Nessie" and hope to catch a glimpse of this mythical creature whilst on a cottage break.  Inverness-shire is no longer the official Scottish district name for the area in and around Inverness and Inverness-shire is instead now officially part of the Scottish Highlands.  However, the name of Inverness-shire is still used by and recognised by many.  Inverness itself is the capital city of the Highlands.  Attractions in and around Inverness include Urqhuart Castle, Loch Ness and dolphin watching.  This is a beautiful unspoilt part of Scotland to explore on a country cottage holiday.
