Parkhill Farm, comprising a watermill, steading and farmhouse, was converted in 2008, and the 4 self-catering properties detailed below form part of this beautiful development.  Parkhill lies on the south bank of the Tay estuary, mid way between Perth and Dundee, and affords lovely views across open countryside, the river, and to the Perthshire and Angus hills beyond.

 

Each of the properties is finished to a high specification, is very well equipped (STB 4 or 5 star), enjoys private parking and an enclosed garden, and benefits from an environmentally friendly ground source heat pump to provide all heating and hot water.

Parkhill Mill – sleeps 8 

Parkhill Mill is an 18th century water mill, recently restored to provide a fabulous 5-star holiday home, while retaining many original features, including the waterwheel, internal machinery, and “grain dryer” which now provides a stunning double height dining area.

 

The Mill contains 4 bedrooms (2 double, 2 twin), a 40ft lounge with central wood-burning stove, open plan dining/kitchen, 3 bathrooms (2 ensuite), shower room and separate cloakroom, and a large games room/store.  The property benefits from free wireless broadband.  Outside there is parking for 3 cars, and a patio affording lovely views across farmland to Lindores Abbey, and across the River Tay to the Perthshire hills beyond.

Ochil Cottage – sleeps 4  

Ochil Cottage is a very comfortable and cosy 2 bedroom cottage (1 double, 1 twin) within the 19th century steading.  The accommodation is of a high standard (STB 4 star) with all integrated applicances, a family bathroom and separate shower/cloak room.

 

Outside there are 2 parking spaces within the steading courtyard, and to the rear an enclosed garden/patio area.

 

Meadowsweet Farmhouse – sleeps 6 

 

Meadowsweet comprises one half of the original 19th century Parkhill farmhouse, which has recently been sub-divided to create Meadowsweet and the adjacent Furze.  The accommodation is of a very high standard (STB 5 star), comprising 3 bedrooms (2 doubles; 1 twin - downstairs), together with a family bathroom and separate WC/shower room.

 

The open plan kitchen/dining room leads into a large conservatory with adjacent patio and large landscaped garden, all offering lovely views to the north across the Tay and hills beyond.  The property benefits from free wireless broadband.

The Furze – sleeps 8 

The Furze occupies the other half of Parkhill farmhouse, being co-joined to Meadowsweet.  The accommodation (STB 4 star) comprises 4 double bedrooms (2 kingsize; 2 twin – one downstairs), with a family bathroom with separate shower upstairs, and a downstairs shower room with WC.  The lounge is spacious and comfortable with TV and wood-burning stove.

 

As with Meadowsweet, the large open plan kitchen/dining room leads into a large conservatory with adjacent patio and large garden.  The conservatory/garden afford beautiful views across open farmland, the distant hills, and down the Tay towards Dundee.
