Nestled in the rolling Fife farmland, in the shadows of the Ochil Hills, Bramble Brae is a brand new spacious four bedroom cottage with 2 en-suite bathrooms and lovely rural views.  Because it's brand new, opening in August 2009, the fixtures and furnishings are at their best.

The cottage is set on a farm and has its own paddock making it the perfect holiday home for horse riders. You can bring your horse on holiday with you if you wish. There are miles of off-road hacking on the door step and you can go in a different direction each day, ranging from a one hour circular ride right up to full days never having to go on a main road. There is plenty of space to park horse boxes and trailers. An all weather sand arena and stables are available up at farm.

 

Guests are welcome to tour the farm and find out about farming life.

Bramble Brae would make a good base for exploring and touring central Scotland. Both Glasgow and Edinburgh are possible for day trips.

Lots of things to do and see; catch fish for dinner at the Gartmorn Trout Fishery, spend a pleasant day at the Blair Drummond Safari and  Adventure Park, try a personal challenge at Go Ape High Wire Forest Adventure or choose from many more tourist attractions.

This is a superb part of the country for horse riders and cyclists. The West Fife Cycle Way passes within metres of Bramblebrae Cottage, connecting you to a huge network of walks, cycleways and bridlepaths. This interconnects with the Kingdom of Fife Millennium Cycle Ways extensive network. Visit Gartmorn Dam and Devilla Forest which are only a few minutes walk or ride away. Visit the nearby town of Culross with its Abbey and Palace, or marvel at The Falkirk Wheel, the world’s only rotating boat lift.

Travel: rail 7 miles, Edinburgh or Glasgow Airports

Good places to visit: Knockhill Racing Circuit - Scotland's National Motor Sport Centre for high speed entertainment. Impressive Stirling Castle in a prominent position overlooking the countryside and the Wallace Monument. Edinburgh for another impressive castle and genteel city. Glasgow, a city of culture, home of Rennie Mackintosh and a fabulous art collection. The Scottish Deer Centre to take a closer look at these shy elusive creatures.
