Searching for a beautifully presented large holiday home in Dumfries and Galloway for a group of up to 10 friends or family plus 2 pet dogs?  If so, a stay at this 5 bedroom pet-friendly cottage which sleeps up to 8 adults and 2 children, and is situated next to unspoilt countryside just 4 miles from Castle Douglas could be the perfect place to stay.

Most of the accommodation at this 5 bedroom cottage is on the ground floor and is beautifully presented with an emphasis on luxurious country living.  The lounge with its comfy sofas, large TV and views out over surrounding countryside is an absolute delight and the pastel-coloured kitchen is just lovely too and well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine.   There is even a snug here to seat 2 where you can snuggle up together by the warmth of the open fire.  As a pet-friendly property, up to 2 well behaved pet dogs are welcome.

There are five comfortable bedrooms; one double with a king-size bed, two standard-size double bedrooms, one bedroom with bunk beds (an adult bunk on bottom and a child's bunk bed on top) and one bedroom with a single bed (plus an additional children's pull-out stacker bed).  There is a family bathroom with bath (shower over), basin and WC, plus a family shower room on the lower ground floor.

Outdoors there are beautiful lawned gardens complete with outdoor seating where you can sit out and really appreciate this fantastic countryside setting.

The pleasant town of Castle Douglas with its shops, cafes and pubs is just a short drive away.  For those who enjoy outdoor activities, Galloway Forest Park is only around 20 minutes' drive away and is a great place to enjoy stargazing (this is one of the best places in the UK for dark skies and home to Scotland's first Dark Sky Park), wildlife watching, cycling, walking and even mountain biking can also be enjoyed in Galloway Forest Park.
