Lochside Houses - Kilmelford, by Oban, Argyll and Bute, Scotland

Regarding the 3 bedroom houses, these have 3 ensuite bathrooms, sauna and spa bath. Some have a sunbed and log fire. There is an open-plan kitchen, a dining room, living room with digital TV, stereo with a CD player and free WIFI access. There is a log fire in the lounge of most houses. Patio doors open out onto a balcony where you can enjoy the ever changing views over Loch Melfort and have a BBQ. Call us for special promotions. Some of the houses are Category 2 for disabled access.

We allow 2 well-behaved pets per house. The start day can be any day of the week with a minimum stay of 2 nights. Argyll is a beautiful location with spectacular scenery and an ideal base for hill-walking, cycling, horseriding, canoeing, golfing, boat trips, watersports and birdwatching. Guests have free use of our rowing boat weather permitting. Or bring your own Kayak or boat.  There is free fishing from our private pier. Visit the many castles, museums, gardens and excellent restaurants nearby.

Wonderful scenery, located on Loch Melfort with own private beach, many castles, gardens and museums to visit,horse-riding, boat-trips to our many surrounding islands, good restaurants.

Travel: Oban Railway Station - 16 miles away, Glasgow Airport - 2 hours drive

Good places to visit: OBAN - trips to many islands..Distillery, Atlantis Leisure, Sealife centre, Go-karting, castles Garden centre, EASDALE - via Bridge over the Atlantic- old slate quarrying island with museum (easter - Oct) and pub open each day in summer - check winter openings. KILMARTIN south of Melfort stunning area of historical interest standing stones and cairns, museum and old grave yard. MULL via oban has boat-trips, steam train to castle and gardens, or opposite direction to Tobermory, Further need all day - Iona and Staffa..
