The Holmes Barn offers quality self catering accommodation holidays near Buxton, Derbyshire in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Especially popular with large groups, reunion and celebration parties, hen and stag parties are welcome. Surrounded by approx 10 acres of its own grounds, with stunning views. The Barn has been completely redeveloped to the highest standard and specification to assure the maximum comfort for guests throughout their stay. The accommodation is part of a traditional Derbyshire Stone Long House and briefly comprises of large ground floor open plan design lounge and downstairs cloakroom, kitchen and dining area. Upstairs are 4 bedrooms and two “Jack & Jill” shower rooms. We are situated just off the A623 near the spa town of Buxton, and conveniently located to enable guests to visit many of Derbyshire’s attractions including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Castleton with its many caves and much, much more. The nearest villages of Tideswell and Bradwell are approx 10 mins drive away and offer all facilities and many public houses for dining out opportunities. The market town of Chesterfield and the city of Sheffield are also within an hours drive. The accommodation can easily sleep 15/16 guests in our newly developed and completely refurbished barn. Quality holiday barn which sleeps 16 people. Up to 2 dogs welcome by arrangement. Ideal for birthday celebrations, reunions, hen/stag parties. Mid week dates available for small groups please ring for details. Weekend lets are a speciality. Set in the middle of the Peak District, in a rural location with stunning views.

Derbyshire Lucky Cottage

This attractive and romantic Grade ll Listed 'Arkwright' Stone Cottage dating from the late 1700's, is situated in a convenient location within Cromford, which is know as a 'World Heritage Site' and Conservation area. Built by Sir Richard Arkwright to accommodate his workers at the local spinning milling, the cottage is steeped in history and incorporates a wealth of original features, interesting nooks and crannies, and a lovely large open fire to use on those 'cooler days'. If all of this sounds too active for you, then Lucky cottage makes a snug hideaway, ideal for those requiring a short ROMANTIC BREAK. King-size bed. A wonderful 200 year old stone village cottage on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands, within the Peak District National Park, 7 miles from Buxton. Recently renovated to provide quality accommodation, the cottage is tastefully decorated, blending traditional features such as beamed ceilings, shuttered windows and a crackling open fire with all the modern facilities needed to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay. A wonderful 200 year old stone cottage in the village of Longnor on the edge of the Staffordshire Moorlands within the Peak District National Park, 7 miles from Buxton. A great location for touring and walking in the Peak District and only 25 minutes from Alton Towers. Only 100-200 yrds from 3 pubs, all serving good food and a restaurant. Sleeping up to 5 plus a cot, the cottage provides quality accommodation and is tastefully decorated with a blend of traditional features such as beamed ceilings, shuttered windows and a crackling open fire, and all the modern facilities needed to provide a comfortable and relaxing stay. Double bedroom with en-suite basin and w.c., another spacious bedroom that can be triple or Super kingsize plus single bed. The large sunny kitchen/dining room is well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge/freezer and solid fuel Rayburn. The sitting room has comfy sofas, open fire, wide screen TV with SKY, video and DVD players and phone for emergency use. There is also a light basement den with a large window. This is furnished with a sofabed, SKY TV and a selection of games and toys for younger children.
