Self-catering accommodation and holiday lets in Boxford Suffolk
Another ancient Suffolk village, Boxford is in a Conservation Area just off the A1071 near Groton, Polstead Heath, Hadleigh, Edwardstone, Newton and Assington.
Set in a rural community around the River Box and surrounded by a patchwork of fields, there are orchards of apples trees supplying a local manufacturer of high quality fresh juice.
Many of the village's timber framed listed buildings go back to the 15th and 16th century. There is a fine 15th century church. There are a couple of village pubs and shops. Photographer's and artists would find many beautiful and interesting examples of Jacobean and Georgian heritage to capture.
This area is well-known for antiques, there are antique shops in various nearby towns and frequent antique fairs. Constable Country in Dedham Vale is a short drive away for walks around East Bergholt and Flatford Mill.
