A Grade II listed detached stone barn near Newnham-on-Severn is a superb August 2008 conversion. Approached by a country lane and standing on the edge of its own 6 acre meadow (leading to ancient woodland) it is ideal for walking, bird watching, spotting deer etc or simply relaxing to watch the trees grow. Herefordshire The Woodhouse

The Woodhouse is a Grade II* Listed semi-moated medieval hall-house, from the first part of the C15th. It has been restored using traditional techniques and materials including Herefordshire oak, wattle and daub, lime mortar, limewash and casein paint. What remained of the original building was used to provide evidence for the restoration, which was guided by SPAB architect Andrew Thomas and executed largely by the owner, David Furnival. It was featured by the BBC on Radio 4’s Open Country and in The Observer in Feb. 2004.It is also mentioned in The National Commission for Historic Monuments, Pevsner's book on Herfordshire and The book of Ledbury by Joe Hillaby, and can be found on the Images of England website.
