Kersey if a charming historic Suffolk village made famous by the cloth that used to be woven there, called Kersey cloth. A ford runs across The Street or main road through the village that cars splash through.
There are a number of well-preserved 14th to 17th century buildings, including the 14th century Bell Inn half-timbered pub which has lots of exposed oak beams and tons of character. The Bell Inn is a good food pub, perfect for Sunday lunch after a walk around what some people consider the most picturesque village in Suffolk.
Pop in and visit Kersey Pottery to view its unique designs and techniques. The 14th century church of St. Mary's rises high over the village. Walk along the high street with its former weaver's cottages and merchant's shops.
