Spacious modern conversion offering high quality self-catering for up to 6 people plus baby in a country location near Weymouth in Dorset. The Fleet Lagoon and Chesil Beach are about a mile distant. Tthe area around the village is particularly popular with walkers. Weymouth, Dorchester, Abbotsbury and Bridport are all only a short drive away. Further afield lie Corfe Castle, Poole, Blandford Forum, Lyme Regis and Bournemouth.
Stonebank Annexe forms part of a Grade II listed building, which dates from the early 17th century. Situated in a quiet location near the centre of the village of Chickerell, it is set back from the road in pleasant gardens. It has two bedrooms, one twin and one double, a comfortable lounge/dining room with an electric fire, colour T.V. VCR, DVD, Hi-Fi, and a choice of books and games. The well equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, refrigerator, and microwave. 3 miles from Weymouth, Dorset.
The Gun Emplacement is the nearest house to France. It's perched on the cliff top on Lighthouse Down, the National Trust's protected coastal expanse, overlooking St. Margaret's Bay, which has come to be known as The White Cliffs. The house was built by the Army in 1910, Sir Peter Ustinov was billeted there during the Second War and he bought it from the Ministry of Defence in 1946. It is not suitable for children under 12 but fine for older people,(two steps)

It can accommodate up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms. Bakehouse Cottage is next door to St Anthony's Cottage (q.v.) and for larger parties the two properties combined offer accommodation for 14 adults plus two cots. To the rear there is a paved patio area and garden. The garden abuts one of Higher Farm's fields. Patio chairs, a table and a barbecue are all provided.
