Stonebank Annexe forms part of a Grade II listed building, which dates from the early 17th century.  Situated in a quiet location near the centre of the village of Chickerell, it is set back from the road in pleasant gardens.  It has two bedrooms, one twin and one double, a comfortable lounge/dining room with an electric fire, colour T.V. VCR, DVD, Hi-Fi, and a choice of books and games. The well equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, refrigerator, and microwave. The bathroom has a corner bath and shower. From the lounge, the patio doors lead to the enclosed garden and patio. Kent The Gun Emplacement

The Gun Emplacement is the nearest house to France. It's perched on the cliff top on Lighthouse Down, the National Trust's protected coastal expanse, which has come to be known as The White Cliffs. The house was built by the Army in 1910, Sir Peter Ustinov was billeted there during the Second War and he bought it from the Ministry of Defence in 1946. I bought it in 1977 and have used it as my seaside home.In 2000, it was extensively renovated inside and out and is now a very comfortable though not luxurious one-storey, centrally-heated residence in a unique location, with uninterrupted views across the Channel to Calais, gardens back and front and offers total peace in glorious unspoiled countryside. There is even an airing cupboard to keep linen warm. The cottage can sleep 1-7 people. 7 night lets only from Saturday to Saturday only.

Dorset The Old Rectory

A very fine Grade II* Georgian Rectory.   It is set in grounds of about one and a half acres with large lawns and flower gardens to the east and south which are suitable for croquet and knockabout tennis games. Beyond the gardens is a beautiful valley with views to the sea cliffs and downlands.  The house overlooks the very pretty village of Symondsbury, quaintly rustic, with its parish church, village school and thatched pub and cottages.  The entire area is designated as being of outstanding natural beauty with the local Chesil bank now classed as a World Heritage site - the Jurassic Coast.  It is ideal for long walks or a relaxed seaside holiday. It is about a mile and a half from the sea and there are a variety of beaches to choose from ranging from sandy beaches at Weymouth and Lyme Regis to small coves at Eype, Seatown and Burton Bradstock.
