The Cottage adjoins Woodend House and offers comfortable self catering accommodation for up to five people. This makes it suitable for two couples or a family of four or five. It combines the old with the new and has a wonderful traditional victorian open range to curl up in front of on those dark winter evenings. Through the front door you enter into the lounge/dining room with it's slate flagged floor, exposed beams, open range, views towards Scafell Pike and a door that leads to a traditional lakeland cottage kitchen. Stairs lead from the lounge to a landing, off which there are the two bedrooms, one double and one twin (the twin has a double and a single bed) and the bathroom. Most rooms have views towards Scafell Pike, they all have exposed beams and all are furnished with care and and thought. The sunniest garden is to the front of the property outside the front door but there is a garden area to the north of the property where there are panoramic views across Birker Fell towards Scafell Pike.The cottage can be booked with the house (accommodating up to 12 people) and with the house and bothy (accommodating up to 14 people). Located in a remote location high up on Birker Fell, the Cottage adjoins Woodend House and offers comfortable self catering accommodation for up to five people. This makes it suitable for two couples or a family of four or five. Most rooms have views towards Scafell Pike, they all have exposed beams and all are furnished with care and and thought. This makes it suitable for two couples or a large family.It combines the old with the new and has an open fire to curl up in front of on those dark winter evenings. Through the front door you enter into the hall with it's quarry tiled floor. This leads to the kitchen, bathroom and two small flights of stairs. One leads down to the lobby and laundry room and the other leads up to the large lounge and the master bedroom (with additional pull out single bed). From the lounge another small flight of stairs leads to the two further bedrooms. (Nb. The single is accessed through the double).Most rooms have views towards Scafell Pike and all are furnished with care and thought.The sunniest garden is to the front of the property outside the front door but there is a garden area to the north of the property where there are panoramic views across Birker Fell towards Scafell Pike. There are also two secluded walled areas.The cottage can be booked with the house and the bothy accommodating up to 14 people. The Bothy is a self contained building standing on its own offering cosy upside down accommodation for two.Stone steps lead up to the front door where you enter into the combined lounge/dining/kitchen area with its wooden floor, pot belly stove and views towards Scafell Pike. Steps lead down to the bedroom which has stone walls and exposed oak beams. A door leads from the bedroom to the ensuite bathroom which has a traditional bath with feet, hand basin and WC.All rooms are furnished with care and thought.An enclosed garden area surrounds two sides of the Bothy. Located in a remote location high up on Birker Fell, the Bothy is a self contained building standing on its own offering cosy upside down accommodation for two.
