Everyone is familiar with Edinburgh Castle and the Tattoo, but there is so much more. Attractive, hundred year old sand-stone self catering cottage,in the original hamlet of Duloch, bordering on 15 acres of our own woodland, part fern & bluebell, also orchids & hundreds of species of flora, wild fruit, etc., (wildlife includes deer, buzzard, pheasant, badger, butterflies.) designated campfire areas, stream, rustic walks. It is just 10 miles North of Edinburgh,in a small hamlet and 2 miles from Rosyth Ferry terminal. Views of historic Forth Rail Bridge. The local historic village of Inverkeithing is 1 mile away. The cottage is ideal for a family with 2 children but can sleep an extra child or two. 2 bedrooms 1 with double & single, one with 2 singles. Also z-bed on request for living room at £15. Cots on request for bedroom. It has a very well equipped kitchen including microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer (very good laundry facilities), slow cooker, fridge/freezer. The large comfortable living room has a colour TV, VCR, DVD player,  digital freeview channels, dozens of videos & d.v.d's and library with hundreds of good books, a woodburning stove with radiators & storage heaters plus extra oil filled radiators. There is one bathroom with a shower over the bath. Appealing, enclosed rear garden with furniture, B.B.Q., croquet & a place to sit for smokers as there is no smoking indoors. Some antiques and restored original and distinctive solid wood features, i.e. panelled doors,living room original floorboards.Feature window seat. (When the cottage is not booked, it can be used as a self-catering bed & breakfast, £25 per person per night.  Very good continental style breakfast, or an additional breakfast pack to cook (usually from our local butcher, also very free range eggs can be arranged for longer stays.etc.) A few woodland & meadow land camps also available with designated campfires & a 2 berth classic caravan - ask for details. You could bring your own tent & try a night under the stars. Just let me know & I'll keep a pitch for you. Good also for walkers & cyclists as the Fife coastal path is nearby. Baby & toddler friendly equipment on request. Ground floor bedrooms ideal for elderly or partially disabled. Self catering character holiday cottage,near Edinburgh,Scotland.
